Dear colleague,

Join us at the LGA/ADPH Annual Public Health Virtual Conference, 23 - 24 March 2022. After an extremely challenging year in which Local Government continues to be at the heart of the public health response to the pandemic, our annual flagship public health conference will explore and build on the innovative work being undertaken by councils, their partners and communities as they focus on putting the nation’s wellbeing and tackling health inequalities at the centre of the recovery.

This virtual conference, organised by the LGA in partnership with ADPH, will be opened by Sir Professor Chris Whitty, Chief Medical Officer for England, who will be joined by leading public health experts in a range of sessions over two days, exploring the very latest thinking on national policy issues, as well as offering insights from those delivering on the ground.

Delegates will be able to put their questions and comments to those involved in shaping and implementing policy at strategic and community levels, on issues such as the reform of the public health system and the impact of COVID-19 on health inequalities. They will have the opportunity to participate in sessions sharing good practice from local areas and to discuss issues that matter to them.
