Health inequalities hub

This week we launched our health inequalities hub which includes new case studies and think pieces. Over the course of the next six months, we will be organising webinars focused on key areas including mental health, age, gender and ethnicity. To coincide with the webinars, we will be adding to the hub new case studies from councils who are working to reduce inequalities in these areas. We marked the start of the series with a webinar focused on how people with learning disabilities were impacted by COVID-19 and on new case studies from councils that are commissioning services to develop people with learning disabilities' independence and communication skills.

Pass the Planet campaign finishes

Our Pass the Planet campaign showcased councils’ best practice in the lead-up to, and during, COP26 – with spotlights on every region in England and Wales. The campaign has now ended. However, the LGA continues to showcase councils’ best practice examples of climate action and to demonstrate the importance of local leadership in delivering net zero. New case studies will continue to be added to the interactive best practice map, and if you are interested in submitting one, please use our case study template.
