This year’s annual licensing conference will run virtually across three different webinars and will reflect on events over the past year. The first session, COVID-19 response and recovery for licensed premises, will take place on Monday 8 February from 10.30am-12.00pm and will discuss the challenges the hospitality sector has been facing. The second session, on Taxi licensing, takes place on Tuesday 9 February from 10.30am-12.00pm and will focus on the Department for Transport’s statutory standards for taxi licensing, including examples of how councils have started to implement the standards. The final session, Gambling regulation and reducing gambling related harm, takes place on Wednesday 10 February from 2.00pm–3.30pm and will feature presentations on the Government’s review of the Gambling Act as well as research into gambling related harm.
