LGA virtual event: Planning: Development Management – COVID-19 and beyond

Monday 13 July 2020, 10.00am-11.00am

This webinar is an opportunity to hear from speakers about their experiences during the COVID-19 period in continuing to accept, consider and make decisions on planning applications. Whilst the construction industry has slowed or stopped on many development sites, the number of applications being received, and decisions required on existing applications has not reduced in the same way.

Planning departments have had to re-consider their way of working to ensure that robust decisions continue to be made alongside thinking about the recovery period and the flexibilities that may be required.

Speakers include:

  • Derek McKenzie, Chief Planner, Sefton Borough Council
  • Stephen Gee, Lead in Development Management, Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG)

This is a virtual Zoom webinar.

To book your place, please register for the event.

Please feel free to share with colleagues who may also be interested in attending; it is free to attend to all councils and government departments.
