Introducing our new Head of Neighbourhoods |
|
|
We’re pleased to welcome Jonathan Graham as our new Head of Neighbourhoods. Here’s a brief message from him.
"Hi, I’m Jonathan Graham, the new Head of Neighbourhoods at Leeds Federated. I bring over 20 years’ experience in social housing, having worked across organisations including The Gateshead Housing Company, Castles & Coasts Housing Association, and most recently Broadacres, where I managed a wide range of services including neighbourhoods, income, lettings and housing support.
"I’m passionate about social housing and the positive impact it has on people’s lives. Supporting customers to sustain their tenancies and improve their wellbeing is at the heart of what I do.
"My priority is to ensure we deliver high-quality services, listen to our customers, and continue to improve. I’m looking forward to meeting more colleagues and customers over the coming months.
"Thank you to everyone who has given me such a warm welcome so far."

An update on the recent rent statements |
|
We were made aware of some issues with the most recent rent statements that were sent out earlier this month. The balances on the statements were correct, but some of the charge descriptions weren’t.
We will be issuing new statements during July 2026, but if you would like a rent statement before that time, please contact us on 0113 386 1000.
We apologise for any confusion this may have caused. Thank you for your patience.

Tell us about any needs you have or adjustments you'd like us to make |
|
From 29 June, we’ll be emailing all customers who we’ve not yet spoken to about any needs they have or adjustments they want us to make – this could include things like asking us to phone before we visit, leaving extra time to answer the door or giving information in a different format such as on coloured paper or in large print.
If you receive an email, please reply and tell us about any adjustments you need us to make. If you don’t need us to make any adjustments, you can reply to the email to tell us this too.
This is the last time we'll reach out to you in this way to ask you about your needs and adjustments. If you contact us in future, we may ask if there are any changes to the needs and adjustments we have listed on your account.
You can update your own details anytime by:
- Logging into MyAccount
- Calling us on 0113 386 1000 and choosing option 4
- Emailing us at hello@leedsfed.com make sure you include your full name and address, as well as what you need from us and why (or you can tell us you don't need us to make any adjustments)

Find your local 'Cool Space' |
|
Leeds City Council is providing Cool Spaces within a number of leisure centres, community hubs & libraries, and neighbourhood networks across the city. Cool Spaces are publicly accessible indoor venues that provide a simple, free and welcoming space for you to take shelter from the heat, cool down, rest, and access drinking water.
Why do we need Cool Spaces?
Data from the Met Office shows that summers in the UK are getting hotter, with more frequent hot days and heatwaves. Hot weather can pose health risks, particularly for older people, young children, and those with underlying health conditions.
What will Cool Spaces provide?
- A cooler indoor environment
- Access to free drinking water
- Seating or resting areas
- A welcoming and inclusive atmosphere
- Access to information and resources to support people to stay well over the summer

Help improve our repairs service - quick survey |
|
We’re currently reviewing how our heating and repairs service is delivered, and we’d really value your feedback.
Your input will help shape how we select future contractors, including the standards they meet, how quickly they respond, and the level of customer service you expect. The survey takes just five minutes and focuses on what's most important to you, such as speed, communication, and getting repairs right first time.
As a thank you, everyone who completes the survey will be entered into a prize draw to win one of two £50 vouchers. (Please note this is an additional prize draw to our regular Your Voice prize draw)
|
Your views - we're listening and acting
We encourage everyone to take a spare 5 minutes and tell us your views so we can continue to improve our services.

Come and visit the Housing Hub |
|
Our next Hub is on Friday 26 June, we'd love to see you there!
The focus for this month will be on anti-social behaviour (ASB). Feeling safe in your home and neighbourhood is incredibly important, and we know that ASB can have a significant impact on your wellbeing and sense of security.
Area Manager, Zuzka Downing, will be attending to share information about existing neighbourhood watch schemes, including how customers can get involved or even set up a new scheme in their area.
To support customers in feeling safer at home, we'll be giving away a range of home security items, including:
- Wireless door and window alarms
- Window locks and sash jammers
- Door chains
- Door wedge alarms
- Personal alarms
In the meantime, you can learn more about the different types of ASB, how you can report it and our policies and procedures over on our website.

Introducing a new Time to Talk format |
|
We’re introducing a fresh format for our Time to Talk sessions.
Time to Talk will now be called 'In the spotlight' and will be delivered as short, accessible vlogs, making it easier for you to watch at a time that suits you.
This new approach allows us to share updates in a more flexible and digestible way, while continuing to keep you informed and involved. After each vlog there will be a short survey where you can feed back your thoughts!
Stay tuned - we'll share more details soon! In the meantime, you can take a look back at our Time to Talk sessions over on Your Voice.

A day in the life of a Technical Surveyor - Clare specialises in investigating disrepair cases - issues raised by solicitors around repairs and maintenance. From reviewing reports to analysing the details, no two days are the same.
|
Volunteers build a wildlife friendly garden in Lower Wortley - We teamed up with Leeds environmental charity Hyde Park Source to create a biodiverse garden that gives back to the community and the wildlife. Volunteers planted a range of herbs, vegetables, trees and fruit for residents and wildlife to enjoy.
Your views - we've listened and acted
We developed the new community garden following direct feedback from customers living in that neighbourhood. If you want to share feedback about your own area, or see what’s happening locally, take a look at your neighbourhood page on Your Voice.
