50 years of Leeds Federated - share your stories and reflections

50 badge

2024 marks 50 years since the idea for Leeds Federated first came about. To mark the occasion, we're inviting customers to share their memories and stories from across the last 50 years via Your Voice.

There are lots of ways to get involved on Your Voice, from completing a simple poll to leaving a message or sharing a full story.

You might want to share your journey into a Leeds Federated home or your reflections about what living in a Leeds Federated home has meant for you.

We'll be adding to the project throughout the year and growing the collection of stories which begins with Mr & Mrs Beecroft who, over 16 years, turned their communal gardens into a prize-winning plot and a lovely area for their neighbours.

Meet our new Contact Centre team

Contact Centre team September 2024

We've recently created one Contact Centre team, merging the repairs help desk and customer service advisers. This means we can improve how customer calls and queries are dealt with by handling all calls in one place - from reporting a repair to paying rent.

We've already started to receive some great feedback about the new team:

“I am writing to express my sincere gratitude for the professional assistance provided by the team." – recent Contact Centre customer

Stop the scammers

Man speaking on a mobile phone

We’ve had recent reports of doorstep callers putting pressure on people to make compensation claims for work needed on their homes – this type of doorstep caller is called a ‘claims farmer’.

‘Claims farmers’ might also target you through adverts on social media, phone calls or texts.

They encourage customers to make compensation claims by offering the possibility of payouts at the end of the process. Often, very little of the money, if any, is seen by the customer.

If you need work or repairs on your home, we'd encourage you to talk to us first. And if you’re not happy with a repair or outstanding repair, let us know by calling 0113 386 1000 or emailing hello@leedsfed.com

Wonderful wildflowers at Fewston Court

Wildflowers at Fewston Court

Following a consultation with customers at Fewston Court, we've introduced some trial wildflower areas to their communal lawns. As well as adding colour, the wildflowers have also attracted pollinators...and positive feedback from the wider community:

"This looks absolutely gorgeous and lots of passers-by get to enjoy it as well as the people that live there." – passer-by at Fewston Court
