The BITMO housing office will be closed Friday 6th December for staff training. We will only be taking emergency calls on this day. If you have an emergency, please call 07562 439839. The office and BITMO's GATE are back open as usual Monday 9th December at 9am.
BITMO's GATE will be opened by volunteers from Belle Isle Community Kitchen for breakfast only 9am - 12pm, last orders at 11am. There will be no BITMO service available. The foodbank is open as normal 1.30-3.30pm.
BITMO’s housing office will be open as normal until 5pm on Monday 23 December. There will then be a limited service until 9am on Thursday 2 January. Click here for full details for both the housing office and BITMO’s GATE hours over the festive period.
BITMO Help Keeping Warm this Winter
BITMO households in need of extra support can apply for a winter warmth pack which will contain large fleecy sherpa blankets, hot water bottles with covers and fleecy socks, with the amounts depending on how many people are in our household. Please pass this information on to any of your neighbours who could benefit. Click here to apply.

There will be free food and activities for Belle Isle families on Monday 23 and Monday 30 December and Thursday 2 January. The breakfast club will be on every Friday, and on Friday 23 and 30 December there will be children’s craft activities led by a playworker. Everyone is welcome for the free food, not only families.
Need help finding a new job or getting training for work? Or know someone who does? Leeds Employment & Skills will be in the GATE on Thursday 12 December 1-4pm and Friday 20 December 9.30-11.30am.
The Repair Café is Saturday December 21st from 1-4pm. There will also be a Christmas market and Santa will be making a visit with a small present for the first 100 children aged 2-12 who come with parents or carers. Click here for full details including allergy information.

BITMO carries out home visits to all tenants. We need to check that your home is safe and in a good state of repair and if you and your family are in need of any extra support. It’s a chance for you to bring things up with BITMO – like if you are experiencing noise from your neighbours, have repairs outstanding or want to find out more about getting a new job or community activities.
We aim to carry out about 400 home visits between January and March 2025, so if we contact you, please help us make an appointment. We can do visits at different times of day, including slots on Tuesday evenings for those who are busy during the working day with occasional Saturday appointments as well.

– and Watch Out for Scammers
If you have damp and mould in your home, please report it to BITMO. One of our surveyors will come round and make a plan with you about any repairs BITMO needs to carry out and what you can do to cut down on condensation. BITMO will carry out repairs to prevent damp like fixing leaks, clearing gutters and making sure extractor fans are working, and may carry out an anti-fungal wash to clear the mould. We may have advice about ventilating your home or cutting down on steam from showers or cooking. You can use this form to report any damp or mould, including uploading photos of it.
Please be aware that scammers are active in Belle Isle, knocking on doors suggesting that they are from the Council. Their aim is to make money from legal claims against BITMO and the Council. Neither BITMO nor the council will “cold call” you about damp or disrepair. Please always check ID, and call BITMO on 0113 378 2188 if you have any doubts.
