Become a member to use BITMO’s GATE
BITMO’s GATE is a community resource centre for Belle Isle. It is funded by BITMO’s Board to provide a base where Belle Isle residents can organise activities, get advice and support, attend classes and groups and contribute to making Belle Isle a safer and stronger community.
To use the GATE, you need to be a member. You can do this by completing this online form. BITMO staff can help people to complete the form if they need it.
There are three main reasons for BITMO’s GATE having a membership system:
- The GATE is funded by BITMO’s Board and the membership system allows us to tell them how many people are using the GATE and for what reason.
- Leeds Libraries, who supply our computers and Wi-Fi, require users to agree to their terms of usage.
- We ask what you are interested in. If we find enough other people interested in the same thing, we can help arrange a group or session.
So far 130 BITMO residents have signed up. Please join BITMO’s GATE today so you can take part in the activities and events you can see in the programme below.
Need someone to contact BITMO on your behalf?
We can’t discuss your tenancy – repairs, rents or any problems you are having - with anyone who isn’t on your tenancy agreement unless you give us permission. This is also called “advocacy consent”.
You may want to give advocacy consent to a trusted friend, relative, or support agency so they can discuss your tenancy on your behalf. Find out how you can do this
Interested in returning to education as an adult but not sure which path to take? The University of Leeds Lifelong Learning Centre is offering two events so you can know the support on offer and try out tasters of part-time and full-time pathways and degrees designed for mature students.
Thursday 18 June, 9.30am to 2.30pm in-person at the University of Leeds.

- lunch provided
- limited number pre-school childcare places. Booking required.
Thursday 27 June, 6pm to 7.45pm. This event is online.
