Digital Inclusion Officer vacancy at Better Leeds Communities

Recruitment open for NHS funded post to support the development of Digital Health Hubs in the Woodsley and Holt Park LCP area, closing Tuesday 2 May.

Arts in care showcase

100% Digital Leeds is hosting an event on Friday 19 May for activities coordinators and managers working in a care setting showcasing the wealth of arts and culture activities on offer across the city for the benefit of care recipients, with practical workshops from organisations like Yorkshire Dance, plus the launch of the 2023 Arts in Care Homes Day digital arts participation programme.

Launch of inclusive employment film

100% Digital Leeds and members of the Autism and Learning Disabilities Digital Inclusion Network have have created a film to educate employers on how they can make their workplaces more inclusive.

Positive digital walks

100% Digital Leeds is working with Mencap and Hamara to launch a series of regular walks and activities to improve the health, wellbeing and digital skills of people with learning disabilities.

Partner Profile: Leeds Irish Health and Homes

Leeds Irish Health and Homes (LIHH) have been providing services to the Irish and wider community in Leeds for over 25 years. Their services include outreach,  luncheon clubs, and health and wellbeing support.

Funding opportunities


100% Digital Leeds are keen to support the development of any funding bids with a digital inclusion element, or to help you embed digital inclusion throughout your project. If you would like support contact us.

Leeds Community Foundation Local Care Direct Health and Wellbeing Fund

Not-for-profit incorporated community organisations can apply for grants to support projects like:

  • Outreach work to encourage people to access services and reduce stigma such as peer support groups, mental health training.
  • Providing activities to reduce isolation
  • Support around the cost of living crisis such as family support, and the provision of practical items for families/children and young people
  • Supporting people with diagnosed mental health conditions.

Amount: £10,000 to £20,000

Deadline: Wednesday 10 May

The Phoenix Way Children and Youth Emergency Round

Black and minority community-led charities and organisations working with children and young people at risk of becoming involved in violence can apply for emergency funding to mitigate the effects of the inflation and cost of living crises.

Amount: up to £20,000

Deadline: Monday 8 May

Masonic Charitable Foundation

The Children and Young People stream is intended to support disadvantaged young people to overcome the challenges they face through education, individual interventions and encouraging healthy behaviours.

The Later Life stream is intended to reduce loneliness and isolation for older people through digital inclusion, provision of clubs and activities and befriending support.

Amount: £1,000 to £15,000 to smaller charities, £10,000 to £500,000 to larger charities

Deadline: rolling

Artemis Charitable Foundation

Unrestricted grants to registered charities to support projects and activities in the following key areas:

  • Health.
  • Education.
  • Poverty.
  • Environment.

Amount: up to £5,000

Nationwide Building Society Community Grants

Housing-focused registered charities can apply for grants focusing on:

  • Preventing people from losing their home.
  • Helping people into a home.
  • Supporting people to thrive within the home environment.

Each ambassador also brings extensive experience in supporting specific marginalised groups and in different digital inclusion delivery models.
