HRH Princess of Wales visit to Leeds

Princess of Wales

The Princess of Wales visited Leeds on Tuesday 31 January to launch the Shaping Us campaign from The Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood.

PoW

We were delighted that our Children's Librarian was part of the community group to meet The Princess alongside Child Friendly Leeds, Leeds Dads, Leeds Rhinos Foundation, West Yorkshire Police and colleagues to speak about how we can all work together to support early years in the city.

Early childhood is a top priority to libraries; reading and the enjoyment of books from a young age helps families to bond, as well as supporting early speech, language and communication skills. Ask at your local library about our Ready Steady Readers programme which puts babies and young children at the heart of our service.
