Start-Up Day 2021
The Business & IP Centre’s Start-up Day is back for 2021! Join us online on 11 November for a day of free talks and practical tips to get your business ideas off to a flying start.
The theme of this year’s Start-up Day is sustainability and making a positive impact. Whether you’re interested in making your business more sustainable or would like to hear more from inspiring entrepreneurs you can register for the morning session here and join the afternoon talks here.

 SMART: A beginners guide to setting objectives
In this next Start-up Leeds session, we'll learn the importance of setting objectives and how they can help you achieve your business goals. This free event is perfect for anyone just starting up or wanting to take their business to the next stage through simple actionable steps. BIPC Local at Bradford Library
We're really excited that Bradford Library will be running drop-in sessions as part of Start-up Day. BIPC Local at Bradford Library will also be officially launching on 15 November. You'll be able to pop into the library to access market research and information, attend one-to-ones and get support to start or grow your business.
Did you know that 2022 marks the 150th anniversary of the first public library in Bradford which was established in 1872!?

Take part in a research survey
If you're a sole trader or micro business, you can take part in this survey designed to find out how much small businesses know about cyber security. Findings will be used in student research at Wrexham Glyndwr University and all answers will remain anonymous. Fill in the survey here.

Mintel
If you’re starting your own business, you’ve probably thought about market research and it’s something that can seem overwhelming – where do you start? Who do you ask? What do you need to know? Fortunately, databases like Mintel exist to take away some of that stress.
