Community car sharing platform launches in Leeds
The peer-to-peer car sharing platform, Karshare, has launched in Leeds. If you don't have access to a vehicle, Karshare lets you to borrow a car from your community when you need one, including to travel for work.
The first five car owners with an eligible vehicle to sign up to Karshare will receive free keyless technology installation. To find out more visit karshare.com

FlexiBus: On demand bus service in east Leeds
FlexiBus East Leeds is West Yorkshire’s first demand responsive trial for public transport. Launching on Monday 27 September, it's a pre-bookable service that connects people to local places within the east Leeds area.

UK’s first solar powered Park & Ride is now open
Stourton Park & Ride has officially opened. Located at Junction 7 on the M621, the new solar powered park and ride is served by zero-emission electric buses. The site has capacity for 1,200 vehicles including 26 electric car charging points and secure cycle storage.
Buses run every 10 minutes along dedicated bus lanes taking just 15 minutes to travel to Leeds city centre.

New cycle route connects Elland Road Park & Ride to Leeds city centre
Footballer Patrick Bamford attended the official opening of the new Elland Road cycle route, with pupils from Saint Luke's CofE Primary School in Beeston.
The 1.5km segregated cycle lane runs from Elland Road Park & Ride to Leeds city centre. As a result, cycling to work will be safer and more enjoyable.

Travel to Work Survey 2021
The Travel to Work Survey 2021 opens in November. The survey collects valuable data about commuting trends and informs future transport investment decisions.
