Keeping You Informed - February 2021

Otley Flood Alleviation Scheme

Start date confirmed

We are excited to let you know that our contractors BAM Nuttall and Mott McDonald joint venture (BMMjv) will start construction on Monday 8th March 2021. Please be assured this had always been the revised start date, not February which has been recently reported.

Construction is expected to be completed by November 2021 and the project team will be on site between the hours of 08:00-18:00, Monday to Friday and 08:00-13:00 on Saturday.

In the first few weeks, you may notice some increased construction traffic throughout the town. Noise disruption will be kept to a minimum and will only take place during site working hours.

First activities will include:

  • Mobilising the site compound at the former Cattle Market ground
  • Temporary diversions to access track and public right of way through the former Cattle Market ground.

Residents and businesses will receive notifications of specific activity in their area and how they are impacted. If you receive one of these and would like more information, please contact FRM@leeds.gov.uk.

Notice of all forthcoming works will also be made on the Otley FAS website.
