Libraries set to re-open

Good news! we will be re-opening libraries in Leeds from 3 December. Services available will include browsing and access to computers. For further information please visit  leeds.gov.uk/libraries


Natalie Haynes Author Event - Wed 2 December, 7pm

We are delighted to be hosting this online talk and Q&A with Women's Prize for Fiction 2020 shortlisted author Natalie Haynes, who will be joining us on Wednesday to discuss her new book 'Pandora's Jar: Women in the Greek Myths.'

Natalie is a writer and broadcaster. She is the author of five books including A Thousand Ships, which was shortlisted for the Women's Prize for Fiction 2020, The Children of Jocasta and The Amber Fury, as well as a non-fiction book about Ancient History, The Ancient Guide to Modern Life. She has written and presented two series of the BBC Radio 4 show, Natalie Haynes Stands Up for the Classics.

Art Lovers Book Club

Art Lovers Book Club

The Art Lovers Book Club provides an opportunity to discuss those books which have particularly influenced an artist’s thinking or practice. The Book Club is delivered in partnership with Leeds Art Gallery. This month we will be discussing Entangled Life: How Fungi Make Our Worlds, Change Our Minds and Shape Our Futures’ by Merlin Sheldrake.
The book has been chosen by artist Chris Drury whose work ‘Medicine Wheel’ (1982-83), is currently on display at Leeds Art Gallery as part of the exhibition Natural Encounters* Copies of this book are available to download from 7 December from
