The River People Tour is a series of free events in community venues offering ways for local people to celebrate, learn and act for the River Ouse.
The tour continues in Barcombe at the Village Hall on 27 January from 11-4pm.
There will be a range of exciting talks, debates, activities, and stalls - something for everyone.
Everyone from the area is warmly welcome to come. No need to book in advance, just pop in during the day.
Organisers, Love Our Ouse, will be delivering activities throughout the day, including the ground breaking project underway to develop a Rights of Rivers Charter following a recent Lewes District Council motion that’s been putting the Ouse on the map nationwide.
Like most rivers in the UK, sadly the Ouse is not healthy and faces a multitude of threats and challenges. Love our Ouse believes the Ouse has the right to support a rich biodiversity of life and a thriving riverside community.
