Locate East Sussex continues to deliver support to grow the local economy

Locate East Sussex has smashed its performance targets for the three years up to April 2020, supporting 42 companies that have moved into East Sussex and helping a further 66 local companies expand into new premises.


Attracting over 1,300 enquiries, the team delivered 69 tailored packages, each comprising 12 hours of business support and contributed to the creation of 345 new jobs.


One company supported was Newhaven manufacturer Paul Cox Sculpture. With the help of Locate East Sussex, the company was introduced to LEAN manufacturing techniques, helping it develop a sustainable approach, with improved cash flow and advanced ordering systems.

£45 million help for East Sussex economy

More than £45 million will be injected into the local economy to aid recovery from the impact of Covid-19.


The recently published East Sussex Economy Recovery Plan sets out how investment will be used over the coming years to support businesses hardest hit by the global pandemic.

Eastbourne Youth Radio – Call for sponsors

Eastbourne Youth Radio

Returning for its twentieth year, EYR will be broadcasting on 87.7FM from studios at East Sussex College on 18-20 November 2020. Young people aged 5-19 from local schools and colleges will take part together with representatives from business and the local community.


Programmes will contain a mix of live and pre-recorded performance work, interviews and music. Special features include ‘Answer Back’, ‘Meet the Media’ and a hospitality event. It will also be promoting Anti-Bullying Week and related issues around mental health and emotional wellbeing.


The broadcast schedule provides various sponsorship opportunities with rates from £175.00 - £365.00 (plus VAT). The sponsor package includes on-air promotion, inclusion on website, social media and press coverage, programme interview, acknowledgement in the programme booklet and an invitation to the hospitality event on Thursday 19 November.


EYR is also seeking a lead programme partner (£500.00 plus VAT) who will receive additional profile in the lead up and during the broadcast.
