Fix and mend this Repair Week 2026
Repair Week returns to the London from 2 to 8 March, with an array of fixing and mending events to help people learn and develop their repair skills. Check out activities in Wandsworth and join the trend to mend this March.

New Green Community grants for Winstanley Neighbourhood
We’re excited to launch the new Green Community Grants for the Winstanley Neighbourhood.
This funding offers residents the opportunity to apply for funding from £100 to £500 to support community-led climate projects that connect people with nature, build green skills and encourage repair.

Community at the heart of climate action in Wandsworth
Sharing stories of microgrant projects, networking and community discussions, and updates on the council’s sustainability work, more than 80 attendees gathered for the Wandsworth Sustainability Network at York Gardens Library.
Our biodiversity, air quality, climate change and Homes for Wandsworth teams joined partners including the Battersea Society, Transition Town Tooting, South Thames College, GreenMark and A Greener London for the vibrant forum.

Welcome to Wild Wandsworth
Wild Wandsworth, our new Biodiversity Action Plan, will restore habitats, support wildlife and ensure everyone can continue to access and enjoy nature in all areas of the borough.
It includes measurable targets, new habitat creation projects, and tools to support everyone in Wandsworth to play an active role in boosting biodiversity.

Our Beautiful Neighbourhood exhibition
In partnership with the Royal College of Art, this exhibition is a public celebration of artworks created by Wandsworth pupils.
Focusing on the themes of biodiversity and place, the original artworks shine a light on how connecting with nature can support and improve our mental health and wellbeing.

Wandsworth delivers on climate action goals
Improving biodiversity and air quality, reducing waste, investing in cutting carbon emissions, and enabling greener transport have all contributed to a more sustainable Wandsworth.
Our focus on a cleaner, greener borough has already helped us cut our council carbon emissions.
