Sustainable September is back for 2025, a month celebrating and championing local sustainability initiatives in Wandsworth.
You can get involved by running an event, attending an event, or simply spreading the word!
We would love for you to run an event or tell us about your existing plans. Register by Friday 15 August to appear on our programme guide and free promotion.

September Wandsworth Sustainability Network
Join us for the next Wandsworth Sustainability Network at Doddington and Rollo Community Centre and Rooftop Garden situated in Battersea.
Tuesday 9 September, 5.30 - 7.30 pm
This event will kick off our exciting month of Sustainable September, where we'll be having a marketplace to champion local climate and environmental initiatives. Get in touch if you would like to take part in our marketplace.
Meet neighbours and local businesses alike who are passionate about the environment and sustainability. This event will have a biodiversity theme and all are welcome to attend.

50% off e-bikes and e-scooters for eligible residents in Wandsworth
Wandsworth is continuing to support sustainable travel by providing discounted access to e-bikes and e-scooters. The council has introduced Access for All —a concessionary scheme offering 50% off rides for eligible residents. This initiative aims to make low-carbon travel easier and more inclusive across the borough.

New Community Bluescapes Schools Learning Hub
Community BlueScapes have launched a new school programme to help students and teachers in Richmond and Wandsworth understand water, flooding, and flood management.
Through hands-on learning, the hub and free workshops raise flood awareness and show how small actions can build resilience to extreme weather events.

Shape London's Heat Plan
How are you coping during the hot weather? What would help you cope better?
City Hall wants to know your experience and ideas on how we can keep our city cool. Your views will help inform their new action plan to better prepare for heatwaves in London.
The survey will close on Sunday 31 August 2025.

Maximising community reuse in Wandsworth
Freegle has been busily maximising opportunities for community reuse in Wandsworth, thanks to a grant from Wandsworth Council's Cost of Living Fund.

Buy refurbished home appliances for less
Residents in Wandsworth can now shop more sustainably thanks to a new online store launched by REWORK, which refurbishes unwanted or broken appliances and gives them a new lease of life, making them available to buy at affordable prices through its new online store.
