Sustainable September - Don't miss our 1 July drop-in session
Sustainable September is back for 2025, a month celebrating and championing local sustainability initiatives in Wandsworth.
You can get involved by running an event, attending an event, or simply spreading the word!
We would love for you to run an event or tell us about your existing plans. Register by Friday 15 August to appear on our programme guide and free promotion. Our Climate Action Microgrants will be available with double the funding for Sustainable September Specific events.

Climate Action Microgrants
Check our next Climate Action Microgrants deadlines, with double the funding available for Sustainable September specific events.
We will award between £100 and £500 to community groups, schools, individuals or non-profits - for sustainability initiatives.

Wandsworth recognised with top climate action accolade - Wandsworth Borough Council
Climate action leadership at Wandsworth Council has been awarded a top ‘A’ grade – one of just five authorities in London to receive the highest score.

Nominate a local Environmental hero for a Wandsworth Civic Award
The awards celebrate and recognise Wandsworth residents that go above and beyond to help others and make outstanding contributions to the local community, often without any recognition, including an Environmental Hero award.
Deadline extended to 4 July 2025.

Could you provide a Cool Space?
The London Borough of Wandsworth is working to ensure that everyone has a Cool Space to cool down and stay safe in hot weather. Cool Spaces are indoor spaces for Londoners to shelter from the sun, cool down, and rest.
Registering as a Cool Space is quick but could have significant benefits for your community. If you need any further support, please email the team.

Clean Air, Strong Starts - free workshops for parents
Are you an expectant parent or have a child under 5 years old living in Wandsworth?
We’re partnering with MP Smarter Travel to run free workshops for Wandsworth parents of under-5s and parents-to-be to raise awareness of the impact of air pollution and climate change on pregnancy and children's health.

National Lottery Awards - environmental funding opportunity
National Lottery Awards fund community-led projects that improve the environment and help people connect with and enjoy nature where they live.
Funding suitable for voluntary, statutory or community organisations.
£300 to £20,000 for up to two years.

Do you live in Roehampton and want to help monitor local butterfly populations in Richmond Park?
Community BlueScapes will be hosting a Butterfly Count in Richmond Park, joining the nationwide Big Butterfly Count, this August. Free and fun for all ages!
