New London Textiles Action Plan launched
The London Textiles Action Plan sets out a programme of activities that will accelerate progress towards a zero waste, low carbon circular economy for fashion and textiles in London.
Why Fashion and Textiles?
London's fashion sector, a key industry, faces environmental challenges from high consumption and short garment lifecycles. Londoners buy 48 new clothing items and discard 44 annually, with 40% ending up in the bin. This plan promotes reuse, repair, and sustainable materials.
Get Involved:
Join efforts to extend clothing life and repurpose unwanted textiles.

Wandsworth’s Cleaner Borough Plan delivers 5,000 tonnes of extra recycling
An impressive 5,000 tonnes of extra recycling has been collected in less than a year thanks to residents’ hard work and Wandsworth Council’s Cleaner Borough Plan, equivalent to 400 double-decker buses.
As part of our Cleaner Borough Plan, we have guaranteed weekly rubbish and recycling collections, doubled Mega Skip Days, and given every household two free bulky waste collections, all while maintaining the lowest Council Tax in the country.

Valuable life skills to learn when you borrow from the Library of Things!
Library of Things is a good and sustainable way to rent and use tools for DIY or other tasks, especially for adults. But what about for young people, who might not be old enough to use any of these tools?
Well Library of Things doesn’t just offer dangerous appliances, but can also include things like air fryers, vacuum cleaners, lawn mowers, and Ice cream makers. These examples are great for young people to do chores or just make food. This can teach children lots of valuable life skills that are good for when they are older and need these skills for everyday tasks.
15% off with HELLOWANDSWORTH for new users.

Tara Theatre Young Company Presents...
A ragtag climate action group meet every Tuesday in a crumbling community hall. When their leader vanishes, tensions rise as they are left to decide between peaceful protest or eco-terrorism. Caught between fighting themselves and fighting the system, the group must navigate what it means to fight together.
Devised by Tara Theatre Young Company, a practical guide… rips into climate colonialism and western apathy. Explosive and dynamic, it asks how young activists should seek reparations for those affected by the climate crisis in the Global South.
