This month, we have a special emphasis on repair as we start March with London's Repair Week (3-9 March), in partnership with ReLondon. Find out what's happening for Repair Week in Wandsworth here.

The First Wandsworth Sustainability Network of 2025!
Save the date for our online event, Tuesday 18 March, from 5.30-7pm.

We are keen to invite discussion on our new Wandsworth Climate Action Plan Update, new Wandsworth Retrofit Strategy and new Wandsworth Adaptation & Resilience Strategy.

Wandsworth Charges Ahead towards Climate Goals
On 13 February, Wandsworth’s Environment Committee looked back at the progress of the Wandsworth Environment and Sustainability Strategy (WESS) over the past year and agreed on the new priorities for the year ahead.
Cleaner air, over 1,400 EV charging points and 50% of primary schools going car-free are just a few of the ways Wandsworth Council is charging ahead towards its climate goals of being a net zero borough by 2043.

Tooting Repair Club Open Evening
Wednesday 5 March, 8-9pm, come join us at Mushkil Aasaan (222 Upper Tooting Rd) for a fun and social night all about the repair of our everyday gadgets.
Everyone is welcome to this open session (under 18s need to be accompanied, sorry): for beginners there'll be taster sessions and demos in soldering, using a multimeter, and the basics of safety testing for repair, and If you're an experienced fixer you're sure to meet likemineded souls. If you're simply curious - then this is for you too!

Each fixing session session will hold a maximum of six people. All relevant tools and resources will be provided.
- Saturday 8 March 2025 - Repair week basic bike checks and puncture repairs
- Saturday 29 March 2025 - Basic bike checks and puncture repairs
All sessions will be held at Tadmore House, Frogmore Complex, Dormay Street, London, SW18 1EY.

A Climate Theatre Festival for the curious and the hopeful
Join us for a day-long festival of brand new theatre, workshops and talks exploring the impact of the climate crisis in the Global South.
This is a day of animated, exhilarating creative performance and discussion examining how we can take action to shape a more hopeful world and give voice to those already disproportionately affected by the climate crisis. Presented by Kali Theatre, New Earth Theatre and Tara Theatre enjoy exciting works-in-progress and join in with panel discussions to discover how art and climate justice can come together and drive change.

These events are a great opportunity to learn new skills, meet like-minded people, and contribute to a greener community. Let's come together to fix things, share knowledge, and enjoy a friendly atmosphere.

The Furniture Narrative
Winner of the Best Sustainable Business at the Wandsworth Women's Enterprise Awards, The Furniture Narrative has big aims to help reduce furniture waste, and is passionate about creating a more sustainable way of living, whilst producing recycled furniture of exceptional quality.
Almost all of my items have been saved from landfill. I've repaired, repainted, and sometimes redesigned each piece, giving it a new lease of life.

Creative Opportunity with Western Riverside Waste Authority
Western Riverside Waste Authority education team, based at Wandsworth Waste and Recycling Centre on Smugglers Way are looking at ways to collaborate with Wandsworth creatives for the 2025 London Borough of Culture year to produce creative work with an emphasis on sustainability, reuse or waste reduction.
