The next Mega Skip Day is Saturday, 22 February.
Dispose of your bulky waste for free at one of seven skips around the borough. Find the skip closest to you at the link below!
New for 2025, households get two free bulky waste collections every 12 months. We'll take up to four items or 12 sacks of waste for free.

Wandsworth came third as the most visited Library of Things Location in London! Across the UK:

Follow up resources from Green Energy Information Evening
On 21 January, St Michael's Wandsworth Common held an event to help residents on their journey to a more sustainable home.
They have created an incredible webpage with speaker presentations, useful links and more to help you on your journey.

Hire a community cargo bike
Need to transport your children, move heavy items or do a big shop?
You can rent an electric cargo bike for just £3 an hour.
We also offer free training to help you get used to riding the bike and keep you safe on the road.

Wandsworth topped the Freegle reuse league tables in 2024 🛋️
During 2024, Freegle communities across the U.K. saw fantastic amounts of reuse. With the continuing cost of living crisis, reuse remains a crucial tool in helping to build and maintain resilient communities.
Funding from Wandsworth Council's Cost-of-living Support Fund, has helped food banks and family centres as well as organisations supporting refugees and those in temporary accommodation access essential household items through Freegle.

Knitting Heroes Wanted! 🧶
Work and Play Scrapstore are helping keep premature babies in St George’s Hospital keep snug and cosy by knitting small blankets for them.
We provide the knitting pattern and wool and you provide your knitting skills. You don’t have to be a member of Scrapstore; just pop in and collect and start knitting.

Eco Ed London 28 February 🧑🏫
Eco Ed London will be held at Camley Street Natural Park.
Free training and continuous professional development (cpd) for teachers. Eco Ed London will be a space for educators, practitioners, politicians and business leaders to come together share best practice and reflect on education for sustainability.

Wandsworth London Borough of Culture🕺
We're kicking off our London Borough Of Culture year in April 2025, from Roehampton to Battersea, Tooting to Putney, every corner of Wandsworth will come alive in an explosion of creativity.
Our cultural programme is being created with local people and organisations, with loads of free events for everyone. From a mass dance event to a choral spectacular, we will come together to share joyful experiences and supercharge our health and happiness.
