Richmond Council named Green Council of the Year
We've been named Green Council of the Year at the 2026 Political Purpose Awards, recognising the borough's work tackling climate change and restoring nature. The Council landed the accolade after being chosen from a national shortlist of councils leading the way on climate action and nature recovery, showing what can be achieved when the council, community partners and residents work together.

The Full of Life Fair is back this October and registration is now open! Join Richmond's annual event for older residents aged 55 and over, featuring more than 70 local organisations, a packed programme of activities and talks, entertainment, useful information, and opportunities to connect with local services and community groups, all under one roof.

Tourist Tax plans another ‘kick in the teeth for Richmond’, claims Council Leader
Council Leader Cllr Gareth Roberts has slammed today’s Tourist Tax announcement, labelling it as another cash grab from the borough.
“The idea of a Tourist Tax has merit’, said Cllr Roberts, “but for all of the money to be taken out of Richmond and grabbed by the Mayor of London’s to add to his already swollen coffers leaving nothing for the borough is simply wrong.”
