Residents voice their concerns on Heathrow expansion plans
Residents voiced their concerns on Heathrow expansion plans at our Community Conversation event last Thursday. Attended by more than 100 residents, locals voiced their fears about the toll that aircraft noise, poor air quality, carbon emissions, night flights and disrupted sleep already take on them, and how expansion would damage their homes, health and quality of life.

What to do if you get into trouble while swimming
The RNLI has five simple steps that could save your life if you get into difficulties in the water:
- If you’re struggling in the water, fight the urge to thrash around
- Lean back extending your arms and legs
- Gently move your limbs to help you float if necessary
- Float until you can control your breathing
- Then either call 999, call out for help or swim to safety
