Debt and money management
|
|
Dealing with money issues can sometimes be upsetting but if you don't understand how things like credit or mortgages work, you could end up losing out financially or getting yourself in debt.
Citizens Advice Richmond can give you the information you need to make the right choices.
Whatever your debt, they are able to assess the options available to you, whether it’s a benefit overpayment, Rent/Mortgage Arrears, a parking fine, a fuel bill, Council Tax or multiple debts; they can help you to decide how best to address your issue whether this is:
- appealing a decision
- disputing energy usage
- challenging a fine
- applying for grants
- asking for a write off
- Budgeting
- asking for time to pay
- a more formal debt option

Cost of Living Support Calculator
To help you understand which schemes, benefits or support you might be able to access, we have a calculator. This form takes about 10-15 minutes to complete and will ask you information about your income, home and family. Once complete, it will tell you what you are entitled to, so you can look for the right scheme in our Cost of Living Hub.
How you can help
If you are in a position to help others, financially or with your time, we have plenty of suggestions for you.
