Residents urged to check eligibility for Council Tax Reduction scheme
As part of ongoing efforts to support local households with the rising cost of living across London and the UK, we're contacting residents who may be eligible for Council Tax Reduction. The scheme can reduce Council Tax bills by up to 100% for those on low incomes or certain benefits, helping to ease pressure on already stretched household budgets.
Statement from the Leader on faith-based attacks
Following the recent anti-Semitic attack at Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation Synagogue in Manchester and the arson attack on a mosque in Sussex, the Leader of the Council, Cllr Gareth Roberts, has expressed the Council's solidarity with those affected. He also reaffirmed our unwavering commitment to fostering understanding, safety and unity across all our communities.

Yesterday we launched a new three-year strategy to prevent and respond to Violence Against Women and Girls which outlines a clear, coordinated approach across four priority areas ensuring stronger local action to protect and support women and girls in our community.
