Richmond wins national recognition at the 2025 Highways Awards
Richmond Council has won national recognition for its role in the pioneering Community BlueScapes project, which delivered an innovative new flood-resilient street in the borough. The Kitson Road scheme scooped the Steve Berry Highways Authority Innovation Award and was a finalist for the Environmental Sustainability Award, while the Teddington Lock Footbridges refurbishment was also celebrated as a finalist in the prestigious Bridge Project of the Year Award category.
Our continued investment in CCTV is helping to prevent crime and protect your communities
Earlier this month, our CCTV spotted a bin fire near Richmond Green. The control room were able to track suspects' movements in real time, helping police officers to detain them and to stop the fire from spreading.
