The Centre Stage Festival takes over Richmond Town Centre next weekend!
Centre Stage Richmond is set to reclaim the heart of Richmond next Saturday (13 September). This brand-new FREE multi-arts festival will transform George Street and Whittaker Avenue into a stage, canvas, and playground for one incredible day! Expect live music, DJs, processions, dance, street food, market stalls, skateable art installations, long table community dining, and plenty more surprises - including a headline set from Ezra Collective’s Femi Koleoso.
Share your stories of Richmond Town Centre
As part of the Centre Stage Festival programme, we want to hear your stories and memories of life in the heart of Richmond. Maybe you met the love of your life in a Richmond pub, bumped into a Rolling Stone on the riverside, or have a more low key memory that you want to shout about - whatever it is, we want to help you share it!
To take part, email communitynews@richmond.gov.uk with your name and your story. We will then put them all together for others who love Richmond to read and enjoy.
Hoardings going up as Civic Centre decarbonisation and revamp begins
Big improvements are about to begin at Twickenham Civic Centre, with a major project to modernise and decarbonise the building – helping to make it greener, more efficient, and better equipped to serve residents for years to come. From Monday 8 September, site hoardings will be installed outside the Civic Centre to allow works to take place safely. All council services, including the Customer Contact Centre, will remain open and accessible throughout the project.
