First ever Richmond Cargo Bike Fair draws community and pedals a message of change
The inaugural Richmond Cargo Bike Fair drew crowds to Old Deer Park last Sunday (15 June), with a festival atmosphere and a clear message that cycling can be fun, family-friendly, and practical. Highlights included test rides of a variety of cargo bike models provided by local retailers, children’s cycle confidence sessions, and a high-energy cargo bike procession through the borough – led by councillors, local families, and representatives from the Mayor’s charity Small Steps.
Record third win for Richmond upon Thames: £200k secured to resurface Hampton Court Road
We've become the first London borough to secure maximum TfL funding for a third year in a row to further improve our road network. In addition to our £21m programme of borough-wide investment, Hampton Court Road will also benefit from a £200,000 resurfacing.
Tell us what you think of e-bikes and e-scooters
Your views on e-bikes and e-scooters will help us to inform our future approach to hire schemes in the borough. This autumn, we will be finalising our approach to e-bikes and e-scooters, including decisions on the number of operators and parking management. To share your thoughts, please email e-bikes@richmond.gov.uk by TOMORROW (Friday 20 June).
