Richmond named one of world’s top local governments on climate action – for a third year running!
We have today been awarded a top ‘A’ grade for climate action - one of just five local authorities in London and only 112 cities worldwide to receive the highest score from international environmental body CDP. This is the third consecutive year that the borough has achieved this prestigious global recognition, which celebrates those that are reducing emissions, preparing for climate impacts, and being transparent about their progress.
Next stage of enabling works begins on Twickenham Riverside regeneration
The next stage of preparatory works is set to begin for the much-anticipated regeneration of Twickenham Riverside, marking an important step forward for the project. This next stage of enabling works includes site hoardings and fencing, securing the site perimeter, temporary flood defences, asbestos removal and strip-out works, clearing and preparing existing structures for demolition, and ground investigations. The Leader of Richmond Council, Councillor Gareth Roberts, said the start of this next stage marks a major step towards realising a bold community vision for the site and surrounding area.

As we celebrate Twinning Reaffirmation Weekend, this is your chance to learn some French and connect with your community! On Saturday 7 June, residents of all ages and levels of French are invited to practise their French conversation over tea, coffee and traditional pâtisseries at ETNA Community Centre.
