Richmond Council expresses 'serious concerns’ following Royal Parks Police disbandment and other Met Police cuts
We are deeply disappointed at the Metropolitan Police’s decision to disband the Royal Parks Police and other vital policing roles, raising serious concerns about the future safety of Richmond Park, Bushy Park, other green spaces, and the wider borough.
We are actively seeking assurances on the extent of the impact these cuts may have on community safety, including high streets, residential areas, and emergency response times.
Support Richmond’s young people and families with the Richmond Voluntary Fund
The Richmond upon Thames Voluntary Fund is launching its sixth annual appeal, raising crucial funds for local charities that provide life-changing support for young people and their families. This year, the Fund’s trustees have selected six charities who are all dedicated to improving the wellbeing of young people and their families in the borough. Every contribution will directly support ADHD Embrace, Home-Start Richmond, Kingston & Hounslow, Marble Hill Playcentres, Off The Record Twickenham, The Otakar Kraus Music Trust and Skylarks.
