Richmond Station completes major restoration, blending historic features with modern upgrades

Richmond Station's historic Art Deco features have been restored to their former glory following a major refurbishment. The restoration, supported by a £100,000 investment from the Council, has improved the station’s historic features, preserving its character while making it a more welcoming space for passengers and visitors.

Teddington Lock footbridges future-proofed following multi-million-pound investment

The Council has completed a major £6.7 million programme of essential maintenance works on the Teddington Lock footbridges. Extensive repairs were carried out on both the suspension footbridge and the lockcut iron truss footbridge, ensuring this vital river crossing remains a safe and reliable route for generations to come.

Join VE Day 80 celebrations at The Poppy Factory

On Tuesday 6 May, residents are invited to join The Poppy Factory’s discovery sessions to remember the end of the Second World War in Europe. Come along from 12.30pm to hear VE Day-themed talks by The Poppy Factory’s expert hosts, watch special presentations and have the chance to view lesser-seen parts of the historic factory. Hot drinks, refreshments and special VE Day 80 Victoria sponge cake will be on offer in the visitor centre café, with music from the era adding to the spirit of celebration.
