Christmas Service Changes
Waste and recycling collections to change over the festive period
Your waste and recycling collections will be subject to changes over the festive period. There will also be temporary changes to garden waste collections, and we will be offering Christmas tree collections between Monday 6 and Friday 17 January 2025.
Christmas Council closures and other service changes
Our offices will be closed on Wednesday 25, Thursday 26 December, and Wednesday 1 January. The telephone lines and Customer Centre will close at 3pm on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve. The Customer Centre doors will close for the last customer at 2.30pm. During the holidays, you can still report, apply or pay online for most of our services. Outside of our normal opening hours, you can report emergencies to us on 020 8891 7999.

Do your Christmas shopping in comfort with our expanded Community Toilet Scheme
Our newly expanded Community Toilet Scheme includes over 70 locations providing access to clean, free-to-use facilities in local businesses and venues. Plan your Christmas shopping trip to be near participating venues by using our interactive map, which makes finding a loo easier. There are also filter options for accessibility features like wheelchair-friendly facilities and baby changing stations, should you need those while out and about buying those last minute gifts!
