Update on the unauthorised Travellers encampment in Ham
We are aware that a group of Travellers have returned to the borough late on Monday night and are now on King George's Field in Ham. The group gained illegal entry by forcibly removing two concrete posts. As King George's Field is a different site to Ham Common, we need to go back to court to obtain a new possession order for this individual site. We do not have a permanent borough wide injunction therefore this is the only legal process available to us at present.

What's Happening?
We are again waiving fees to encourage Play Streets for family fun!
Families in the borough are again being invited to come out and play as part of Car Free Day this September, with a scheme aimed at encouraging children to play outside in their streets. Close your road to through-traffic for up to four hours on either Saturday 21 or Sunday 22 September and turn your area into a community playground for everyone to mingle and have fun!
