On Thursday 2 May 2024, Londoners can vote to elect the Mayor of London, 14 members of the London Assembly that represent London’s 14 constituencies, and 11 Assembly Members who will represent the whole of London.
If you vote in person at the polling station, you will need to show one form of photo ID, but it needs to be the original version and not a photocopy. The name on your ID must be the same name you used to register to vote.
- Deadline to register to vote is Tuesday 16 April
- Deadline to register to vote by post is by 5pm Wednesday 17 April
- Deadline to apply for a Voter Authority Certificate is by 5pm Wednesday 24 April
- Deadline to register to vote by proxy is by 5pm Wednesday 24 April

Adapt Innovate Grow
The Zenith Enterprise Programme, offers comprehensive support that aims to equip participants with essential tools to start a business, improving their digital adoption and enhancing their opportunities for expansion.
Support will be offered through in-person workshops, webinars, networking events, one-to-one support, peer-to-peer collaboration, and an on-demand library of high-quality training - accessible 24/7 on the MyGrowthPod platform.
Running until March 2025, the programme, commissioned by Richmond Council, funded by the Department of Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC) and delivered by CPG Executive Consulting Ltd., is free to business and residents wanting to start or grow a business in the borough.

Business Bootcamp
The Diverse Creative CIC, is encouraging black and brown disabled/neurodivergent entrepreneurs to sign up for its ‘Not Your Average Entrepreneur’ (NYAE) business bootcamp. The programme is designed to support and equip aspiring founders with the skills and confidence they need to thrive as a solopreneur, start-up & scale up.
The NYAE bootcamp programme starts on 27th April.

The River Thames Scheme (RTS) carried out its statutory consultation from 22 January to 4 March 2024. This comprised 11 in-person events, plus five virtual (online) events, with the RTS team speaking to residents, landowners, business owners and others.
More than 2,700 people attended the events and their input is now being carefully considered by landscape architects, civil engineers, environmental scientists and others working on the scheme. Feedback will help to produce a consultation report which will be submitted as part of the RTS Development Consent Order (DCO) application in 2025.
