The Zenith Enterprise Programme, is commissioned by Richmond Council, funded by the Department of Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC) and delivered by CPG Executive Consulting Ltd. It offers comprehensive support that aims to equip participants with essential tools to start a business, improving their digital adoption and enhancing their opportunities for expansion.
Support will be offered through in-person workshops, online webinars, networking events, one-to-one support, peer-to-peer collaboration, and an on-demand library of high-quality training - accessible 24/7 on the MyGrowthPod platform. Training will also be available at various locations across the borough to ensure sessions are widely accessible.
Running until March 2025, the programme is free to business and residents wanting to start or grow a business in the borough.

Library of Things is a community-focussed social enterprise (16 other locations exist around London) that provides people the ability to affordably rent over 30 common DIY and household items that they would only likely use every-so-often, rather than buying new, to save money and reduce waste. Those who use code RICHMONDLOT10 can get 10% off their first borrow.

RTS reaches key milestone - launching the search for its construction partner
The Environment Agency and Surrey County Council have launched the next phase of their search for a construction partner to build the River Thames Scheme (RTS).
Interested firms will need to fill out a selection questionnaire designed to find out more about their skills, experience and suitability.
Following the selection questionnaire process, the RTS is expecting to shortlist between four and six candidates for Invitation to Tender. Up to three tenderers will then progress to the negotiation stage, with the contract due to be awarded in 2025.

The South London Partnership has launched an online hub to signpost the construction workforce to training and qualifications in retrofit.
With 635,000 properties to decarbonise over the next decade, retrofit work in South London is a £17bn opportunity of high value jobs. The aim of the Retrofit Skills Centre is to give the South London construction sector a competitive advantage by gearing them up with the right skills and qualifications to take on the work.

The Empower100 programme is a government backed, free accelerator programme provided by Virgin StartUp and external experts. The programme is designed for under-represented founders in the Greater London area.
Running for 8 weeks, founders can expect support on a range of topics to scale their business, including Growth strategies, sales and marketing, leadership, funding options, financial planning, and pitching / presenting. There is also a demo day at the end of the programme for selected founders to pitch to a room full of investors.
Closing date for applications: Thursday 21st of March.

The next Mayor of London and London Assembly elections will take place on Thursday 2 May 2024.
If you vote in person at the polling station, you will need to show one form of photo ID, but it needs to be the original version and not a photocopy. The name on your ID must be the same name you used to register to vote.
