Where should our Start for Life support posters be put up?
We have created eight posters showcasing the services which form the Start for Life (SfL) support offer in Merton.
These are:
- An overall poster, showing all of the seven key services
- Having a Baby (services supporting around pregnancy)
- My Baby and Me (services for children aged from birth to two)
- Feeding My Baby (infant feeding and breastfeeding)
- Mental health support (perinatal mental health)
- Support for children with special educational needs and disabilities SEND
- Keeping Safe (Safeguarding)
- Other services in Merton
We need your input on where the best places would be to put these posters up.
Workforce development surveys - we need your views
We want to find out what core training is currently provided for staff and volunteers working for statutory organisations and our voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) partner organisations. Your insights are important in shaping our multi-agency workforce development plan and ensuring that the Family Hub partnerships are equipped to meet community needs. The training and development offered across the Family Hub network aims to help all agencies understand and identify needs early, through a think family approach.
We are currently running two short surveys until 31 May.
Working in partnership to give families the right support
We’ve set up a new group to enable us to work more closely with the Merton Safeguarding Children’s Partnership (MSCP) so that, together, we can link families and young people with the right support which meets their needs.
The Family Hub Task and Finish Group, includes representatives from health, youth services and children’s centres and is working on a number of pieces of collaborative work, which we need your input on.

And finally... well done to our Transformation Team!
Last Wednesday, Merton Council held a special evening celebrating colleagues at the Pride in Merton awards, held at AFC Wimbledon.
Dozens of incredible colleagues were recognised, celebrated and awarded for their amazing personal, project and team achievements, including our very own Family Hub Transformation Programme, winner of Best Project of the Year!
The work of the Family Hub Transformation Programme is made possible by all of us working together. This award is a reflection of the wonderful partnership that you are all a part of. Thank you, everyone.
