Havering Council is running a free-to-call helpline for residents with urgent needs because of coronavirus.
The helpline - 0800 368 5201 - is for emergencies only and will be answered by staff redeployed from other Council services. You can call between 8.30am and 6pm on weekdays and between 11am and 4pm at the weekend.
You can also email: covid19support@havering.gov.uk
Residents with less urgent needs, or requiring advice on other Havering Council services, should go to our website for a range of contact options.
Havering Council has plans in place to keep vital frontline services running.
Other services will be subject to change.

If you have an appointment for death registration at Langtons House tomorrow (Monday 30 March), you will no longer be able to attend this appointment.
A registrar will contact you to complete the registration over the phone at the time of your already booked appointment, but to do this we need the Medical Cause of Death Certificate with your name and contact number. If you haven't already done so, you should deliver this to Langtons House, Billet Lane, Hornchurch, RM11 1XL today and post it through the letterbox in the door.
Refuse and recycling collections
Unfortunately it has not been possible for our refuse collections team to visit these roads in Upminster on Friday and Saturday: Severn Drive, Dart Close, Fleet Avenue, Clyde Crescent and Dee Close.
We apologise for this and will ensure that black and orange sacks are picked up tomorrow morning, including any resultant spillages.
If you live in one of these roads, and have taken your bags back inside, please make sure they are out in front of your property by 7am on Monday morning.
Family Services Hub
For general information about early years, childcare and funding, including the availability of places, go to the hub.
Havering Council staff and volunteers have started delivering food parcels to those residents identified by the Government and the NHS as most vulnerable, and likely to be affected by the current restrictions on movement and visitors.
This is part of a national effort to deliver food parcels to the 1.5 million most vulnerable people in the country who are being shielded from coronavirus.
The Government have sent councils across the country a range of staple items including milk, soup, and cereals that will make their way to these most vulnerable Havering residents.
If you know of neighbours or others who you feel may also need food or other supplies urgently due to age, lack of access or bad health, and are not included in the Government programme, please contact our helpline on 0800 368 5201.
Our Havering Hero volunteers will coordinate any calls and deliveries.

We know some residents may experience financial problems as a result of changes made necessary to lives and work because of coronavirus.
Whether you’re a homeowner, private tenant or council tenant, there are a number of ways we can help.
Please talk to us first as we can make sure you can access advice and action that can alleviate some of that worry.

Havering Volunteer Centre is providing a service where local residents can get support during these uncertain times, and talk to a friendly voice at the end of a phone line.
Currently more than one hundred residents with high needs are being supported and essential food supplies are being delivered.
If you would like to get involved and support your community by being that friendly voice on the end of the line please email volunteering@haveringvc.org.uk or call 01708 922214 and they will do the rest.
Once all checks are completed and you are registered, you will be matched to a Havering resident who will benefit greatly from a daily call from you to check that they are okay.
Over the last week more than 300 volunteers have been registered.
If you need to chat to someone please also call 01708 922214.

Thanks to everyone who voted in the Mum's guide to Romford 2020 awards.
More than 2,750 people cast almost 8,000 individual votes in their 2020 Awards.
Havering Council's events team were delighted to win the Best Local Event category award for the free Christmas events for children in Romford's Market Place.
Sadly COVID-19 has put paid to the outdoor events that the team were planning to mark Easter and Saint George's Day, but look out for some exciting online ways that we will encourage you to celebrate these events in the coming weeks.
