Leader's blog

Leader, Cllr D White March 2019

Thank you to so many of you who have already taken part in our consultation on the future of our libraries and children's centres by attending one of the many public meetings, or sharing your thoughts online.

No services or activities currently available at libraries or children’s centres will be lost to the communities they serve today as a result of this consultation process.

This is about how we use buildings, not whether cherished services delivering fantastic outcomes across our borough should continue.

The series of public meetings continues until the end of the month, and the online consultation is open until 18 September. More details below.

Cllr Damian White

Leader, Havering Council

Autism consultation 2019

Havering Council is working hard to ensure that Havering becomes an Autism inclusive borough, where people with Autism have the same opportunities as everyone else.

To help achieve this, the Council has drafted an All Age Autism Strategy. This is now going out to a public consultation.

This consultation, that's open until 16 September, asks respondents to provide feedback on the strategy, helps increase the knowledge of the needs of people with Autism, and ensures that the final strategy responds to those needs.
