 Crowds flocked to Hornchurch on Sunday for Havering Council’s annual Langtons Summer Concert sponsored by West and Coe.
Nearly 2,000 people enjoyed the Westminster Philharmonic Orchestra at the newly ticketed event performing a selection of light classics and theme tunes from stage and screen.
On a bright, sunny, but occasionally blustery day, the audience that included the Mayor of Havering, Cllr Michael Deon Burton, and his guests the Mayor and Mayoress of Brent, joined in with a vocal rendition of Puff the Magic Dragon. The concert concluded with the much loved theme to Thunderbirds.
 A free training course that provides participants with the support and tools to start a business has proved a success in Havering after more than 80 residents took part.
The PopUp Business School, held across the UK, helps potential entrepreneurs and small businesses kick-start their careers by boosting their confidence and providing a mix of practical sessions and workshops.
The Havering Show returns to Harrow Lodge Park in Hornchurch on the August Bank Holiday Weekend, Sunday 25 and Monday 26 August 2019.
This year's show will feature a Sports Zone sponsored by Everyone Active.This will include free sports activities for all ages to enjoy including football coaching, basketball sessions, egg and spoon races, relay races and para sports.
The main stage is sponsored by London City Airport and is hosted by Time 107.5FM.
Tickets are available now at a discounted rate of just £3 per day for the show which also features performances from Aswad and Toploader, the Fairkytes Live stage, a community performance stage, licensed bars, street food and children's attractions.
