 A programme of intensive deep cleaning of pavements, including the removal of chewing gum, is taking place in South Street, Romford.
This will run over the next four weeks, Sunday to Thursday, between 9pm and 5am.
This work is in addition to the investment of an extra £400,000 by the Council into more frequent residential street cleaning. It's being carried out by contractors on behalf of the Council.
The pavements in the town centre will be thoroughly washed and gum removed, as well as street benches cleaned to improve the look, feel and cleanliness of the area.
 Havering residents can sign up to a life-changing two-week training course that provides participants with the support and tools to start a business.
The free Pop-Up Business School, which runs across the UK and is visiting Havering for the first time in May, helps potential entrepreneurs and small businesses kick start their careers, teaching a range of work-related skills.
 Foster Care Fortnight starts on Monday (13 May).
Havering Council's fostering team (pictured) will be out and about recruiting foster carers and have organised a number of events where local residents can find out more about becoming a foster carer.
Havering’s Classic Car Club will be returning to this year’s Havering Show.
The club’s collection will wow residents and car enthusiasts with vehicles on display including a rare 1937 Rolls Royce and 1938 Singer Six.
