Innovating for success

Young entrepreneurs Oct 2018

Young digital talents were asked to embrace their creativity side and shoot promotional videos for charity Havering Mind as part of CEME Launchpad Centre’s Young Entrepreneurs Program.

A number of pupils from Bower Park Academy in Romford took part in the scheme, which was a joint venture between Havering Council and CEME, aiming to improve the digital skills of young people and close the digital gap in the UK workforce.

This programme was managed in partnership by CEME and Havering Council. The students produced two or three minute marketing videos for Havering Mind on either raising awareness of mental health, or a fundraising half marathon.

Students were thanked at an event attended by Cllr Wallace representing Havering Council, Bill Williams, the CEO of CEME, Lorna Waters from Time FM, Ciaran White of Havering Mind, and television presenter and ex-student of Bower Park Rhys Stephenson.
