 Free family fun days are being held around the borough every Wednesday in August.
Activities include face painting, arts and crafts, a bouncy castle and the youth bus. For more details see page 34 of Living in Havering magazine.
The next event is on 22 August at Maygreen Crescent in Hornchurch from 12noon - 3pm.
 This summer Havering Council and Cycle Confident are hosting BikeWise – a programme of free cycle training activities at four locations across the borough: myplace, Romford, Rainham Village Primary School, Ingrebourne EQT Visitors Centre, Hornchurch and Thames Chase, Upminster.

 The Solar
Together scheme gives residents who own a house the opportunity to
take part in a group buying initiative to get roof mounted solar panels at a
competitive price.
To be eligible there must be full access to the roof of the
property and residents must fully fund the installation. Register by 22

 Solicitors Pinney Talfourd are holding a free Wills and
Lasting Powers of Attorney event at 54 Station Road, Upminster this Saturday, 18 August.
Over half of people in the UK don't have a Will
and over 850,000 people in the UK have dementia.
By setting up a Lasting
Power of Attorney you can nominate a person to
make decisions on your behalf in the future if you lose mental capacity.

Transport
for London (TfL) are inviting community and
not-for-profit groups to apply for grants to get their
communities cycling.
Since it began, TfL's
Cycling Grants programme, managed by Groundwork London, has helped 90 projects encourage over 14,000
people to cycle.
Initiatives include cycle
training, loan bikes, guided rides and courses to teach basic cycle
maintenance. New projects will receive up to £10,000.

The Havering youth bus was out in Arcade
Place, Romford, last Friday night, giving advice to young people & helping to
keep them safe from the threat of crime. The Council’s community safety team
were joined by Cllr Viddy Persaud, GLA Member Keith Prince, police & youth
service staff.
