Our council housebuilding programme has had a huge boost
We are increasing our housebuilding programme to deliver 1,800 council homes in response to the needs of local residents under a £1.3 billion investment plan.
Last night, Cabinet agreed to expand our Community Investment Programme to build more council homes that provide affordable housing to families and energy-efficient homes that help residents with the cost of rising fuel bills and tackle climate change.
At the meeting proposals were agreed for: the Camley Street regeneration; redevelopment of Bacton Low Rise; and for more council homes in Central Somers Town.

Free polio vaccinations for fully immunised children aged 6 to 9
If you’re the parent or carer of a child aged 1 to 9, the NHS will be contacting you to help ensure they are protected against polio.
As part of this NHS-led polio campaign, free supplementary doses of the polio vaccine are available to children aged 6 to 9 at the following clinics:
-
Hornsey Central Vaccination Centre in Haringey, 151 Park Road, London, N8 8JD, open 7 days a week, 8am to 8pm
-
Clinic K (Outpatients) University College Hospital, 235 Euston Road, NW1 2BU, open Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 September, 9am to 6pm
To be eligible, your child must live in London and be up to date with their polio vaccinations with the pre-school dose given more than a year ago. You will need to bring their ‘red book’ or NHS number with you.

Is your child up to date with their MMR vaccinations?
Viruses like measles can spread easily between unvaccinated people. Protect your family by making sure your child has had both doses of the MMR vaccine. If your child has fallen behind with any of their immunisations, please contact your GP surgery as soon as possible.
