Hello,
Next week, residents across Lambeth will be asked to cast their vote in the Greater London Authority elections for the Mayor of London and Assembly Members.
This is the first boroughwide election where the new Voter ID rules apply. As the deadline has passed for the free Voter Authority Certificate, if you have not applied for this you will be required to bring a form of photo ID to your polling station in order to be allowed to cast your vote.
The new rules state only original documents will be accepted, with an expired photo ID only being accepted as long as the photograph still looks like the holder. Further to this, the name stated on your ID must be the same name that you used to register to vote.
You can check which forms of photo ID will be accepted here.
