Support local businesses

Love Lambeth email header

Claire

Hello,

This weekend, here in Lambeth we are backing Small Business Saturday.

The vast majority of businesses in Lambeth are small ones. We are a borough of innovative start-ups, local independents and bustling markets. These small businesses are the heart of our high streets and communities, but also the key to our growing local economies across Lambeth. They provide local employment, channel investment into our neighbourhoods and contribute greatly to the unique character of Lambeth.

The Small Business Saturday campaign, this year on 2 December, gives us all an opportunity to promote those businesses local to us and the numerous benefits they provide for Lambeth. The campaign itself also provides free support and advice for small businesses across the borough so they can thrive and grow.

Join the celebration and advocacy of our small businesses by sharing them on social media using #SmallBizSatUK.

Councillor Claire Holland, Lambeth Council Leader

Lambeth Council has launched a new youth focused digital campaign against sexual harassment and abuse

It's not that deep

Lambeth Council has launched ‘It’s Not That Deep’, a campaign focused on tackling the sexual harassment that disproportionately affects women and girls. It explores the phrase ‘It’s Not That Deep’ which is a statement often used to belittle an experience and cause victims and survivors to shy away from accessing support. The social media campaign was developed by local young people, in partnership with Young Creators UK (YCUK), a Lambeth based creative agency co-run by young people, and the council.
