Volunteer with L'Arche and help build a more inclusive world!
L'Arche is an international movement of communities for people with and without learning disabilities. They believe that care is a universal need and begins in friendship; they're joyfully rebelling against a care sector that is too often dehumanising and impersonal. L'Arche London, based in Lambeth in West Norwood, is made up of about 100 people with and without learning disabilities, some of whom live in their community houses and others who participate in L'Arche workshops or drama group. Joy, openness, and relationship is at the heart of L'Arche's shared life.
L'Arche is looking for volunteers! You might help in L'Arche art or garden workshops, or accompany members on walks, or help maintain L'Arche buildings, or attend their parties and community gatherings. There are lots of ways to get involved; find out more here, or get in touch with Mary, L'Arche London's Volunteer Coordinator.
