Hello,
This week, Lambeth Council has announced our latest Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) anti-harassment campaign.
Lambeth has commissioned Young Creators UK to engage with young people across the borough in conversations and workshops about VAWG and harassment. These sessions are created by young people, for young people and are an important step in challenging misconceptions around harassment, sharing lived experience and directly feeding into work that will go further to prevent VAWG and harassment.
The work of Lambeth Council and specifically our VAWG team, has put us at the front of the pack as we find new and innovative ways to tackle VAWG, and with our intersectional approach, make sure that no woman or girl is left behind.
It was a proud moment when councillors from all parties in Lambeth acknowledged our leading work to tackle VAWG at Wednesday’s Full Council meeting.
Councillor Claire Holland, Lambeth Council Leader
