Edmundsbury Court booster classes
Edmundsbury Court hosted English and Maths booster classes for children aged 5 to 15 years. Over a 12 week period from 1 March, teachers worked with 28 students to improve these subjects. Feedback from parents and students was very positive. It was so successful that the TRA is looking at bringing the programme back in 2024.
Fenwick Estate Community Sparks Change
Fenwick Estate partnered with Community Spark Change to successfully deliver a 12 week programme that delivered classes and workshops on boxercise, football and business start up. The aim of the programme, is to help change youth mindsets by encouraging different estates to hold sports tournaments. This has been an awesome turnaround for the Fenwick Estate seeing the numbers grow with up to 20 children registered.

Getting Involved Grants
We have updated and reissued our Getting Involved Grants guidance and invite you to apply online for funding activities on your estate or in your community.
Some of the key changes in the new guidance are:
- Grants of £751 to £3,500 will be decided by our Getting Involved Grants panel made up of residents and officers
- Grants of £3,501 and above will be decided by Neighbourhood Working Engagement Coordinators
- Grants of £5,000 and above will prompt a procurement process
- We will not fund activities outside of the borough
We encourage applications for amounts up to £3,500. Larger grants may take longer to consider and decide. We will consider grants for partial or match funding, for example to help deliver a play scheme or HAF programme.

Please let us know if there are any other areas that you would like further training in which would benefit your group and help it run more efficiently.
There are two sessions in July:
- Managing Committee Finances on 12 July
- Writing Minutes of Meetings on 26 July
If you are a Lambeth Council Housing resident and interested in these training sessions please email us at gettinginvolved@lambeth.gov.uk or contact your Resident Participation Officer for more details.
