94% of "kerbside" in Lambeth is parked cars. But what if we reimaged this space for people, communities and businesses?
Our new Kerbside Strategy aims to do just this, by reclaiming 25% of the kerbside for sustainable use by 2030. That includes active travel, socialising, business activity and climate resilience measures.
Take part in this journey by visiting real size models of our future kerbside at a pop-up event near you this month:
-
Thursdays 9, 16, 23 Feb, 10am to 2pm, Buckner Road
-
Tuesday 14 Feb, 10am to 4pm, 100 the Cut by the parklet
-
Tuesday 21 Feb, 10am to 4pm, outside Herne Hill Station
According to Mind, spending time in nature can benefit both your mental and physical wellbeing. Lambeth Bee Roads is a rewilding project where everyone can take part in replacing grass across the borough with native wildflowers.

How can you get involved?
- Join the team on Saturday 11 March, 10am to 1pm, at Deronda Estate, on the A204 near Tulse Hill roundabout
- Support bees and other pollinators in your own garden or balcony with this handy guide
